I purchased an Infinity Edge Spa made by Coast Spas in November 2018. When the spa was delivered, they also provided chemicals for treating and maintaining the water that included chlorine, spa cleaner, ph up/down, etc.

We used the spa for 3 or 4 months and monitored the chemicals meticulously. I had read the owners manual and made sure to follow their instructions. around the end of April, I drained the spa to clean it, add fresh water, and clean the filter. Since the weather warms up in Texas at in April, I didn't immediately refill the hot tub.

About a month later, I started refilling it. It was at that time I noticed some blistering in the shell, just in 1 spot, about the size of a baseball. I contacted Accent Outdoors in Spring, Tx where I purchased this $17,000 spa and told them what was going on. They made several attempt to contact Coast, at least they said they did, but didn't get a response for weeks.

Coast then requested pictures of the spa from every angle, pictures of the slab, pictures of the defect, and even required a picture of the slab with a level on it showing the slab was level. That along with all the normal information, serial number etc. I assumed at this time we would get this handled.

I made multiple calls to Accent Spas to find out the status but they always said the same thing, they were still waiting on an answer from Coast. Coast requested information on what chemicals I used and how long I left the spa open after treating the water.

They never sent anyone to look at the defect nor did they ever contact me directly. About 2 1/2 months ago Coast sent a request to Accent Spas to have them contact an acrylic repair company to come out and give an estimate to repair. They even gave a local company they claim to have used previously for this type work. Accent Spas didn't assist with this, they simply gave me the information and left it to me to call them.

When I did, they told me they no longer did this type of repair and didn't know anyone who does. I notified Accent Spas about this and waited for a response.

A few weeks ago, Accent Spas sent me an email saying coast was requesting that I drain the spa and send them more pictures from close up of the damage. I explained that due to my schedule, I'm undergoing cancer treatment currently, that I wouldn't be able to drain the spa and take the pictures for a couple of weeks. A week after sending that message to Accent Spas, I received a notice from them telling me Coast Spas has declined the repair.

They sent a notice saying they had an acrylic company review the pictures and they advised them this is damage consistent with the use of trichlor chemicals, I have never used trichlor chemicals.

This company does not stand behind their product. They claim to have a 10 year warranty on the shell, yet less than 6 months after purchasing it is blistering and they refuse to address this problem.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $17000.

Preferred solution: Either replace the shell or hot tub, refund my money and take it back, or repair it where it cannot be detected..

Coast Spas Pros: Features on the spa.

Coast Spas Cons: Unresponsive, Cannot reach by phone, Do not honor warranty, Poor customer service and failure to honor their own warranty.
