I was contacted by the manager of coast spas and they bent over backwards to remedy all my problems. All the jets were replaced no charge, the cover lifter replaced no charge, a gate valve replaced no charge, a new cover at a discounted rate.

I learned something about the loss of all the water. Most of it was caused by the old cover that was water logged and bowed. The cover touched the negative edge and the water streamed down the underside of the cover. If you have a cover that touches the negative edge put a rubber spacer on the edge (like a under inflated ball) before shutting the cover.

That will remedy the water loss. I do not like the fact that pissed consumer does not allow taking off a review without getting a lawyer involved.

When a company steps up to the plate they should be taken care of by the formerly pissed consumer. The fact that you are pissed and frustrated when you write the review should be taken into account.

I bought this $15,000+ spa about 6 years ago at Coast spas and billiards in Langley B.C. When i got home I realized the salesperson had me sign a $3300.00 extra disability insurance policy that I did not even know about.

I promptly cancelled it but it took about 6 weeks to get it taken off my loan. The tub is beautiful to look at and looks very well built. But it is not. The tub is constantly shutting off because of missing water.

No idea where it goes. After 2 or 3 years almost every jet has fallen apart. I do not use the bubble motor so I have not replaced them. I have replaced the circulation motor twice in 6 years.

Replaced valves 3 times, a limit valve once. The cover lifter has rusted and broken even though i have a roof over top. The valve replaced 6 months ago is already leaking. I have to put water in it every 3 days or it shuts off because of low water. The service is terrible, usually 2 to 3 weeks to book an appointment.

There seems to be no manager at the store so complaints are not listened to. When the service guy came last time he told me the serenity negative edge is the most requested of all service calls. He told me he would never buy one. Do not be fooled by their life time guarantee as it only applies to the shell and only if you have it on a cement slab.

My hottub lid is thrashed and they told me the company they get them from does not make them any more. WHAT! I would never deal with this horrible company again.

Never spend more than 6 to 8 thousand one a hot tub. Or you will feel like a fool like ME!!

Monetary Loss: $15000.

Glad you got it solved, but I very happy this review is still here!! The infinity edge is a poor design.

I have all the same issues and I have not have my tub replaced, they deny the infinity edge leaks water down the lid like that (tried to tell me I was the only one who had issues, even though I know every single person that has one out here has the same problem)!!

I've had 4 different lids, none of them work and if they tell me to stick and eraser in there for a spacer I'll tell them a better place to shove it!

I've had 4 new lids and they all still leak, so it has nothing to do with being water logged (we only had one long enough to even become water logged, after a mear 6 months), probably more to do with the 1cm gap at the front of the tub.

I'm on my 3rd circuit board, 2nd control panel. The water leakage has ruined the surround on my tub, costs me close to $50 a month in power bills and I have to fill the water weeky (I actually had to install a special tap so I can fill it outside in winter.

Please leave this review so those of us still suffering these bastards can find help!!

We have had our coast cascade 2 for 3 years. In last year, it has been back to the dealer 3 times to address failed pumps and blown lines.

Like you, we have lately had to replace water every 2-3 days or the "heater is dry". This spa requires a highly vigilant owner.

Coast does not come to help in any way shape or form. They do not know how!

Issue with my $15k tub since day after installed. Fixed eventually on warranty many times. Still problems with heat and leaking. Repair man refuses to come any more as Coast has not paid him for past warranty repairs ...

Tub on yr 3 of a 5 year warranty!

Junk.

This appears to be more of an issue with the dealer you bought the spa from, rather than an issue with Coast Spas as a manufacturer.

The majority of internal components on Coast Spas have a 2-5 year warranty, so if you had issues with the circ pump and had to replace it twice in 6 years I would question as to why you didn't ask warranty under Coast's policy and additionally question your ability to maintain proper water chemistry.

You are losing water from evaporation or displacement. Hot water spilling over a negative edge will evaporate quickly. This is just nature of the beast. If you completely ignore the water level in the spa for an extended period of time than yes, you may have priming issues because it will drop.. but this isn't something that's going to happen on a daily or even weekly basis.

want to make a bet?? I filled the bladder 2 days ago and it's dropped 3" and I went in the tub once.

It's a crap design and they wont admit it.

It's also pretty obvious you work for Coast...just saying.

As far as the dealer, they are fine, they are trying all they can to help me. Coast wont help them or me!!!
